Over 50 SEGA Genesis Games Are Coming To PS4 & Xbox One In A Tidy Package

Now that every single game company from way back has realised that nostalgia is powerful as fuck, they’ve all decided to cash in on it. But who can blame them? Re-releasing old IP for new hardware is a piss-easy way to make money.

Not that I’m complaining, either, I will continue to lap up every single remastered childhood memory I can get my grubby hands on. So, yeah, keep it coming.

The latest addition to the nostalgia train is the SEGA Genesis Collection. Due out on May 29, it’s packing some absolute belter titles, including Streets of Rage 1 through to 3, Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2, and Wonder Boy in Monster World.

The collection will be coming to the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and while it would certainly feel right at home on the Nintendo Switch, SEGA has dodged questions about the platform, simply stating it’s “focused on the launch of SMDC/SGC on Playstation 4 and Xbox One and the update to the PC version”.
