Three ‘Resident Evil’ HD Remasters Are Coming To Nintendo Switch In May

Announced late last year, Capcom is bringing three classic Resident Evil titles to the Nintendo Switch. Today, the company has revealed the release date of all three, so you know exactly when you’ll be able to scare the shit out of yourself on the go.

Posted to the franchise’s Twitter account, Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 1, and Resident Evil 4 will be available via the Nintendo eShop on May 21, so you can play it “on trains, during mansion tours, across the European countryside,” the post reads, which is a clever take on each game’s setting.

Each title is the latest remastered version, and while it won’t look as good as the recently released remake of Resident Evil 2, it’ll still look pretty damn decent, at least compared to its original version. If you haven’t played any of them, I have no doubt it’ll be a great way to experience each one for the first time. If you’re really keen, you can preorder from February 28.

A physical copy of the three will be available in the US, but there’s no word on whether that’ll make it here to Australia. I’d wager we’ll be seeing digital-only distribution, but we’ll have to wait and see for sure.

Resident Evil 4 is certainly one of the most popular entries in the franchise, and, if you want my opinion, the best of the three on offer here.
