Get ready for some fresh and crispy nostalgia mates, because rumour has it Nintendo are working hard on a mini Super Nintendo, much like the deeply loved Mini NES released last year.
According to leaked information provided to Eurogamer, Nintendo have discontinued the Mini NES to focus on its successor, despite raging sales. The same source also allegedly leaked correct information about the Switch prior to its reveal.
The company last week announced that the Mini NES would be discontinued, stating it “wasn’t intended to be an ongoing, long-term product”.
There’s no word yet on what games will be included in the Mini SNES, but if they don’t put Yoshi’s Island on there, I’m going to flip the FUCK out. Other classic SNES games included Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country and StarFox.
Sources claim the new product will be released in time for Christmas this year.
