Because obviously the only way to go is up, Instagram have announced they’re dropping a massive new feature: you’ll now be able to post up to 10 photos in a single post. So just in case the pic you posted of your can of XXXX on your balcony needed nine additional angles, they’ve got your back.
Surprise! Now you can share up to 10 photos and videos in one Instagram post! https://t.co/OpBAUxcmJ4 pic.twitter.com/U2u0OmBJln

The company’s blog said it’s basically a way to get around picking one photo of, say, a certain event:
With this update, you no longer have to choose the single best photo or video from an experience you want to remember. Now, you can combine up to 10 photos and videos in one post and swipe through to see them all.
It’s an interesting decision – obviously the essence of a good Insta post is picking the one pic which really captures in one frame whatever event / experience you’re posting about. This is a different way of approaching it, making it a little more like Facebook albums.
All the images will have a single caption, and you’ll only be able to post ’em in the classic ‘square’ Instagram form. You can play around with the order, edit them individually, or just chuck one filter across the whole batch.
Before you open your app and become furious that I have lied to you about this new feature for clicks – remember that you need to update Instagram first. The update is rolling out as we speak.
? Oh the times, they are a-chaaaaangin’ ?.
