Nintendo Hinted There’s Even More Stuff Coming To Damage Your Wallet In 2018

Once E3 rolls around for the year, it’s usually safe to assume that all the big game companies have announced all of their new content and hardware for the year ahead, but not Nintendo. No, it still have some stuff up its sleeve.

In a recent meeting with the company’s shareholders, former president Tatsumi Kimishima said that there are still some unannounced “products” that Nintendo plans to release before the end of the year. Whether these will be peripherals or actual games is uncertain at this stage, but according to DualShockers, Kimishima says the company is not ready to announce the full lineup.

After Nintendo’s slightly bland E3 presentation, the promise of more content is an attempt to reassure shareholders concerned with the recent dip in the company’s share price. Kimishima also told them it would have no problems meeting the wild goal of 20 million Nintendo Switch units shipped, but confessed that acquiring the microprocessors and memory needed could be a challenge.

While a big chunk of the E3 showcase was taken up by almost every single detail of the upcoming brawler, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the only real first-party game announced was Super Mario Party.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up for anything massive, but a few more new first-party games would be pretty nice to see. Either that or just show us the new big Pokemon game already.
