There Could Be A Brand New ‘Crash Bandicoot’ Game Coming Next Year

Last year we all got reacquainted with an old friend, and goddamn it felt good. According to a little rumour, he might be sticking around for the long haul.

Max Arguile is the manager of a UK-based merchandising company called GB Eye, and he reckons there’s a new Crash Bandicoot title in the works, set for release next year. Not only that, old mate says the remastered Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy will be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch this year.

This all seems to stem from an excerpt spotted in DHX BrandsLicensing Source Book Europe“The new game was a huge success at retail with no marketing spend,” it reads. “Next year it will be going broader (Switch and PC) and there will be another game in 2019.”

Activision has a five-year plan for this and GB Eye is delighted to be fully on board for all products.”

There’s speculation that the PS4 exclusive may only be a timed-exclusive, which means it can be released on other platforms after a certain timeframe. It could hit PC or the Switch around mid 2018, but we’ll probably know more when E3 rolls around again.

It would be really freaking cool to play the series on Switch, so fingers crossed this is legit. As for what a new title would look like, we’ll just have to wait and see, but man, I can’t wait for more info on this.
