You Can Now Share Your Netflix Obsessions Directly To Instagram Stories

Have you ever gotten so into a TV show or movie you just wanna yell about it from the rooftops? You love it so much all you wanna do is talk about it with anyone who will listen? Yeah, we’ve all been there. I got so obsessed with the movie Hereditary, I researched its strange occult subject matter to the point of being unable to sleep for a week. But that’s a story for another day.

If you’re one of these people who gets a kick out of essentially doing free marketing for an enormous company, well, you’re in luck. Netflix has just introduced a way to share your favourite content directly to Instagram Stories.

“We’re always on the lookout for ways to make it easier for members to share the Netflix titles they’re obsessing about and help them discover something new to watch,” a Netflix spokesperson said via email. “We hope our members enjoy this new feature!”

If you’re keen to share your latest obsession and add a witty tagline to it or a poll or whatever, all you have to do is fire up the Netflix app on your iPhone, jump into the show or movie you wanna spruik and tap share. Select “Instagram Stories” from the list and you’ll be taken straight to the app where the title’s art will be displayed. Add whatever you want and share that bad boy. Easy.

And if one of your mates decides they’d like to give the show a whirl for themselves, they can tap on the link in the story and be taken to its page on the Netflix iPhone app. It only works with iOS phones right now, but there’s apparently an Android version in the works.

Happy sharing, bingelords.
