Good news, folks, Nintendo is bringing the joys of Mario Kart to your goddamn phone. Holy shit!
Don’t expect it anytime soon, though, the company have pointed out that whatever Mario Kart Tour is, it’s still in development and won’t be released until sometime prior to March 2019.

That’s all the details available at the moment, but we’ll keep you updated when more emerges. We’d love to know just what the fuck this is gonna look like as much as you. Here’s hoping Nintendo don’t ruin it with a ton of microtransactions.
It’s not all that surprising a concept given the success of the mobile versions of both Mario and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. The company also had an amazing year with Switch sales and its range of games, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which has sold a whopping 8 million copies.
You could see more announcements like this one, too. Nintendo was planning on releasing five mobile games be the end of last year, but only managed to squeeze out four – Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and Miitomo. The Wall Street Journal reported last year that the company might be working on a Legend of Zelda mobile game, which will damn near make me shit my pants.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what details pop up.
