The Trailer For ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ Is Here And We Want It Now

Fallen Order

The trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was officially unveiled overnight, and yeah, yeah, look, I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself here, but I’ve been waiting for a good single-player Star Wars game for a very long time, and holy shit, this one could actually be it.

The game stars Cameron Monaghan of Shameless and takes place immediately after the events of Revenge Of The Sith. Monaghan plays Cal Kestis, one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66, who is now “a Padawan on the run.”

When the trailer was unveiled at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, Respawn developer Stig Asmussen said that “many Star Wars fans, ourselves included, are really interested in the dark times, so we wanted to explore that mysterious, dangerous period.”

Asmussen went on to say that the game will have “a focus on melee combat, lightsaber and Force powers, with the main character driven to completing his Jedi training despite being in pursuit”, and that Kestis will embark on his adventure with a droid, BD-1 and a companion named Cere.

It was confirmed earlier this week that Fallen Order will be a single player game with no multiplayer functionality or microtransactions and a focus on story – so basically the opposite of the misbegotten Battlefront II, a game we don’t talk about anymore.

The release date is currently set for November 15 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
