It’s the time of year once again where we put together top 10 lists of pretty much everything. Top 10 albums, top 10 parties, top 10 drunkest moments that ended in total embarrassment. That last one is hard. There’s just so many.
Being the good sports they are, Instagram have dished out some more tasty stats for us in the wake of Selena Gomez‘s absolute slaying of the platform, owning every post in the top 5 most-liked for 2016.
Of course, we’re talking about dem sweet emoji. Specifically, the 10 most-used of 2016:
10. The bluest heart.
9. The party cone (yiewww).
8. Peace, dudes.
7. A-okay.
6. Guy smiley.
5. Smol, pink heart, but 2 of them.
4. Kissy winky face.
3. Cry-laughing giant tears.
2. Heart-eyed idiot.
1. Classic love heart.
C’mon guys, really? That’s maybe the blandest list of emoji I’ve ever seen, and boy have I seen some bland lists.
This reads like the most-used tab on the phones of every thirsty commenter that’s ever written something just creepy enough to be disconcerting on your posts. I also would have bet money on the eggplant or peach being in that list, which is probably why I’m not a betting man.
