Google Are Finally Replacing Those Heinous Blob Emojis No One Likes

In what can only be described as a very, very wise move, Google have finally decided to lay their heinous default blob emojis to rest.

I mean, what were they meant to be in the bloody first place? Little thumbs? Sentient yellow blobs? People with heaps fat necks? Regardless, they will perish in favour of some normal-looking emojis.
So what will they look like? I’d describe them as Apple‘s emojis drawn in the cartoony style of Google’s ones. Check some out below.
The redesign – which took the company 18 months to do – is all part of the upcoming Android operating system, Android O. According to the announcement, you’ll also be able to download your own custom emojis, so if you’re a weirdo that actually likes the blobs, you can easily switch back if you so desire.
The only way to get the new default emojis at this stage is to download a beta release of Android O, but if that’s not your bag, you can just wait for their official release later this winter.
Adios, weird blob emojis. You will not be missed.
