9 Games To Play This Halloween If You’re Keen On Shitting Your Dacks

If you’re looking to creep yourself out on this lovely Halloween night, why not ditch the same old horror movie trash for an interactive experience instead? There’s plenty of games out there that’ll give you a raging case of the heeby-jeebies.

Here are 9 creepy games to play if you’re keen to scare yourself shitless tonight.

Outlast 1 & 2

The Outlast series does a great job of making you feel absolutely hopeless in an environment so terrifying, you’ll probably only be able to play it in short bursts. Armed with only a video camera to record the madness around you, both games give you only one choice when faced with enemies – run.

Available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and even Nintendo Switch. In fact, you can get both titles on sale right now on the Nintendo eShop.

Resident Evil 7

The first time the franchise has gone to a first-person perspective, RE7 is a fresh take on a classic series. It’s got more jump-scares than a B-grade horror flick and enough gore to put you off eating for weeks.

If you’re feeling extra adventurous, you can even play this one in VR.

Available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Before Outlast hit the scene, there was Amnesia, which also gave you exactly zero (0) weapons to fight with and only a shitty lantern to illuminate the horrifying depths of a castle and its dungeon.

There was a second Amnesia game, but it was nowhere near as good as the original.

Available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Alien: Isolation

I haven’t finished this game because honestly, I can’t fucking handle it. I hope you’re good at sneaking because this alien motherfucker will tear you apart if not.

You can get it on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and older consoles, the PS3 and Xbox 360 if you’re living in the dang past.

Inside

Inside isn’t so much terrifying as it is just an amazing game, so it’s probably good for those with a weak heart and/or stomach. It received rave reviews across the board.

You can play it on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and even iOS devices.

Layers of Fear

If you feel like questioning your own sanity for a get length of time, Layers of Fear is the perfect game for you.

Originally released on PC, you can also get it on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4.

The Exorcist Legion VR

I refuse to play this game because fucking have a look at the trailer.

Fuck. That. If you’ve got the guts, it’s on PSVR and Oculus.

SOMA

SOMA was made by the folks who did the Amnesia games, so you know it’ll be creepy as all fuck.

You can get it on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

So there you go, folks, there’s sure to be a game in there for everyone. Just try not to shit yourself too hard.
