Resident Evil 7
The first time the franchise has gone to a first-person perspective, RE7 is a fresh take on a classic series. It’s got more jump-scares than a B-grade horror flick and enough gore to put you off eating for weeks.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Before Outlast hit the scene, there was Amnesia, which also gave you exactly zero (0) weapons to fight with and only a shitty lantern to illuminate the horrifying depths of a castle and its dungeon.
There was a second Amnesia game, but it was nowhere near as good as the original.

Alien: Isolation
I haven’t finished this game because honestly, I can’t fucking handle it. I hope you’re good at sneaking because this alien motherfucker will tear you apart if not.

Inside
Inside isn’t so much terrifying as it is just an amazing game, so it’s probably good for those with a weak heart and/or stomach. It received rave reviews across the board.

If you feel like questioning your own sanity for a get length of time, Layers of Fear is the perfect game for you.
