FB Are Testing A Dislike Button So You Can Tell Your Mates Their Posts Suck

Denizens of Facebook have been crying out for a dislike button for some time now.

The addition of reaction buttons about a year ago made it possible to respond to content with an angry face, but that just wasn’t enough for you pissed off, utterly disgruntled humans. You still want that thumbs down to really drive your ire home, don’t you?
It looks like you’re gonna get it, but probably not how you’re expecting. According to TechCrunch, Facey B are testing a dislike button for their Messenger service rather than their main interface.
Users will have the ability to place a reaction next to a message, similar to reacting to a regular Facebook post. They include the standard faces along with a thumbs down emoji.
You’ll also be able to see a counter next to the message to show the number of reactions it’s received. The tests are currently being carried out on small groups of users before it’s rolled out to a wider range later on.
“We’re always testing ways to make Messenger more fun and engaging. This is a small test where we enable people to share an emoji that best represents their feelings on a message,” the company confirmed.
So there you go, soon you’ll be able to ruthlessly thumbs down your mates drunk messages to show your disdain for their piss-poor behaviour.
