A rather annoying Facebook Messenger bug seems to be doing the rounds at the moment which moves the first letter of a typed message in front of the curser.

For example, if you were trying to type this sentence, it would look like this: “or example, if you were trying to type this sentence, it would look like thisF”.
It’s not Earth-shattering, but it’s still a pain in the ass. If you don’t notice it prior to sending a message, you look like a weirdo, but if you catch it, you gotta clean that shit up, which isn’t ideal.
A few of my colleagues were experiencing the bug yesterday, but I didn’t get it all. This morning, however, my Messenger has been doing it sporadically. Serves me right for laughing at them, I guess.
Some have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration, as you do.

It doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue, and hopefully, it stays that way. I’ve reached out to Facebook for comment, but am yet to receive a response.
