The Game Awards is happening at the moment, which means a whole bunch of new game trailers and reveals. But the latest trailer for Hideo Kojima‘s new game, Death Stranding, is – I guarantee you – the weirdest shit you’ll see all day.
Kojima’s best known for creating the Metal Gear Solid series, which has one of the most convoluted storylines in gaming history. Since leaving Konami, he’s been working on this new game which, even with the new 8 minute trailer, we know very little about.
What we do know is the game stars The Walking Dead‘s, Norman Reedus, Rogue One‘s, Mads Mikkelsen, and an unknown baby. Uhh, what else… There’s some mud, some black sludge, shoulder robot thingos, big standy boys, and something bad in the air that you shouldn’t breathe. Just watch it below.
Yeah, I don’t fucking know what’s going on here. I mean, it looks mad, but why is there a baby inside of Norman Reedus? Why did Norman ingest an entire infant? For fuck’s sake, I’m so confused.
But take comfort in knowing the rest of the internet is just as confused as you are.

Kojima made a tweet shortly after the video was shown, telling folks to go back and watch the earlier trailer for some kind of clue to what the fuck’s going on.

Yeah, I still have no idea. The game is currently in development for PlayStation 4, but there’s no release date just yet.
