The Hunt For International Superthief Carmen Sandiego Has Come To Google Earth

Here’s what we know about Carmen Sandiego: she loves theft and the colour red, and she has a pretty limited wardrobe. Here’s what we don’t know about her: where the fuck she is. That globetrotting international superthief is famously hard to pin down, having been consistently at large since she first appeared in Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? back in the misty past of 1985. Now, she has made the leap to Google Earth, where you can chase her around Google’s frighteningly accurate 3D renderings of the world’s major cities.

Much like the original games, Where on Google Earth is Carmen Sandiego asks you to interview a series of witnesses and use a combination of their hints and your expert-level geography knowledge to track down where she’s has escaped to.

The game is built-in to the Chrome version of Google Earth and can be accessed by the clicking on the Carmen Sandiego-themed replacement of pegman (the streetview icon) down the bottom right, or you can get to it by clicking on this link right here.
