For the seventh year in a row, Atlassian co-founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar have topped the Financial Review‘s Young Rich List, which is a new record for the publication. The pair, who take out the combined 1st and 2nd place, is worth a staggering $14.2 billion, which accounts for more than half of the $23.5 billion total worth of the entire list.

The gap between the tech duo and third placeholder, Tim Gurner, is enormous, with the property king-pin’s wealth clocking in at $631 million. Tech entrepreneur, Ori Allon ($539 million), and fitness bigshots, Kayla Itsines and Tobi Pearce ($486 million), round out the top six spots on the list.
Cannon-Brooks and Farquhar founded Atlassian in 2002, creating software development workflow software like Jira and Confluence, among other popular products. The duo’s combined worth has jumped up from $12.16 billion in 2017.
The combined wealth of this year’s top 100 has risen by more than $10 billion from 2017, which totalled to $13.2 billion. That’s a year-on-year increase of 78 per cent, or in other words, a lot of fucking money.
Excluding the Atlassian founders, the average wealth per person on the List is $95 million, with the average age being 35.
A big congratulations to the Atlassian boys for killing it in the tech space once again.
