Last week, the internet lost its shit over the Android version of the cheeseburger emoji, which places the cheese underneath the patty.
I think we need to have a discussion about how Google’s burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, while Apple puts it on top pic.twitter.com/PgXmCkY3Yc

Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in a tweet that they were going to drop everything to fix the issue in the coming week and that seemed to signal the end of the debate. Order would be restored once again to the universe.
Will drop everything else we are doing and address on Monday:) if folks can agree on the correct way to do this! https://t.co/dXRuZnX1Ag

But today, Google’s Seattle office served up what they call an “Android burger” for lunch, placing the cheese underneath the meat just like the bung emoji. The monstrous burger has come to life.
Clearly old mate Sundar has been taking us all for a bloody ride, that absolute madman. There’s no word on exactly how it tastes, but one reply claims it would actually be delightful for most.
It may seem stupid, but I’ve actually been a part of burger testing. Google’s ingredient order would genuinely taste better to most people.

As you’d expect, most folks have absolutely zero time for this culinary train wreck.

Whether they’ll ever fix the emoji is still to be seen, but either way, this burger makes me feel uncomfortable.
