A New PS4 Dropped Today But You Missed It Bc *Someone* Announced A Phone

Given that Apple continually seem to dwarf every other company in the industry, you’d be forgiven for not noticing that Sony made a pretty huge announcement about PlayStation today.
After you’ve read the 5th article in a row about the infamous culling of the headphone jack (RIP), ya probs wanna digest this little bit of red hot info: Sony are releasing 2 new models of PlayStation 4.
That’s the deadset bloody truth, pals. The much rumoured PS4 Slim will now go on to replace the current model, but on top of that, they announced the PS4 Pro that enables gamers to experience games in glorious 4K. This makes it the first console to render graphics in 4K, rather than just upscaling the resolution.
For the lesser nerds out there, 4K refers to the amount of pixels displayed on the screen. 4K resolutions show 4 times more pixels than the standard 1080p HD. It’s as pretty as it gets right now, friends.
It also marks the first time Sony will have 2 consoles on sale at the same time with vastly different graphical capabilities.
But unlike rival Xbox One S, the PS4 Pro will not allow users to watch 4K movies.
So what’s new in the bloody box? Most notably, they have a 1TB hard drive and double the graphics power of their weedy little brother.
Yes, of course. How rude of us. According to Kotaku, the PS4 Slim will retail in Australia at around $390 and will be available from September 15. The PS4 Pro will be released on November 10 and will set ya back around $559.95.
Game on, ya flamin’ legends.
