Still Australia’s most consistent purveyor of beautiful swimwear, Zimmermann present their Cruise 2011 lookbook shot by Sri Lankan born, Australian bred photographer Roger Deckker. Speaking with Russh Magazine, designer Nicky Zimmermann stressed the focus on natural elements (outside of the animal and floral prints that colour this collection): “We wanted a different feel for this campaign and had this idea of shooting against natural elements – rock, sand, sea and sky. I wanted it to be a bit grittier and more moody. We shot it down at Hyams’s Beach with Roger Deckker. He was great to work with – he keeps it really free and easy which is what we needed.”
