
Working in collaboration with Brisbane-based design firm Donovan Hill, visionary Iraqi-British urban architect and dreamer of dreams Zaha Hadid brings her distinctive brand of angular futurism to the beating heart of Melbourne in a series of breathtaking spec images supporting her firm’s proposal to transform Flinders Street Station into the resplendent all white everything movie set to The Island, Gattaca or Minority Report that Melburnians have always wanted.
Key design components include a retractable roof, curved beams joining the old heritage listed station to the new one and designated hubs for culture and recreation.
