Woodford Folk Festival Announces A Huge NYE Lineup

Following up last year’s terrific lineup, Wodford Folk Festival has once again delivered, with a very folking great slew of artists on the bill to herald in the New Year.

While this morning we speculated on Big Day Out’s potential demise and what the hell is up with Australian music festivals, Woodford Folk Festival is yet another reminder for us to take deep breaths and remember that, considering the circumstances, our festival scene in Oz is pretty damn special.

The Woodford Folk Festival spans six days with over 500 acts descending upon Splendour stomping ground, the heavenly Woodfordia. Aside from an impressive musical lineup, including Beth Orton, The Basics, Clare Bowditch, Matt Corby, Tim Finn, Busby Marou, Blue King Brown, Brendan Maclean, Half Moon Run and Julian Marley (among a dauntingly large bill), the festival also boasts an impressive lineup of workshops, talks and events including barbershop signing, songwriting, dance ensembles, vaudeville and circus performances, talks on sustainability and health activism, among way too many more – check out the whole programme here.

Tickets to the Woodford Folk Festival are on sale now through their website. Season passes for adults currently start at $432 +bf.
