Win Christmas Finds From Bluejuice, Deftones And Roger Waters Inspired by Vinnies

Need some Vinnspiration?  It can be easy to get caught up in a good old fashioned ‘Vinnies’ rummage for treasure and forget about the fact that every purchase you make helps Australian’s in need. The St Vincent de Paul Society funds homeless services, youth programs for disadvantaged children, refuges for women and children escaping domestic violence, friendship programs for people with mental illnesses, and generally helps your community out. Your community, brah. Your community.

In the spirit of Christmas they have launched a new campaign, “Inspired by Vinnies”, which involves two competitions and the giving away of signed goodies and prizes.

The first comp is an extension of their “Signed Finds” campaign – a music merch
treasure hunt in which they collected signed shirts off the backs of some of the world’s
best musos and artists, (washed them), sprinkled them around the 630 Vinnies stores
across Australia and gave you the chance to own a piece of music history.  In a victory for lazy music lovers everywhere, you no longer need to leave the house to win because they’ll be raffling off the final Signed Finds on the Internet.

Prizes include items signed by Seal, Cat Empire, Bluejuice, The Deftones, Birds of Tokyo, Jebediah and Roger Waters from Pink Floyd, with more to be announced so be sure to keep an eye on the Signed Finds facebook page.

If fashion is more your thing, the “Shop in Style” comp gives Vinnies fans the chance to win a $500 shopping voucher and personal styling session with fashion author, stylist and crafty minx Kelly Doust.

Both competitions will be running from this Friday, 9 November 2012. To enter or just to see Vinnies in action online, head to www.visitvinnies.org.au.

This is definitely also a good time to point out that Vinnies is also the sponsor for the Art Category in The 2012 Pedestrian.tv Photography Awards and that voting is open NOW and is closing SOON. Last days to check out the finalists and get votin’!
