Ok, we know – we know – that ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air‘ was a fictional TV show and the cast isn’t actually secretly one big happy family and that Will Smith‘s real life is very seperate to Will Smith the character’s life with the Banks clan.
But on the other hand, Will Smith is totally really related to Uncle Phil and he’s slowly morphing into him as he gets older.
Smith the Real fulfilled a lifelong dream of his recently by bungee jumping from Victoria Falls in Zambia. As people are wont to do in this day and age, Smith filmed the whole shebang start-to-finish with a hand-held GoPro. Observe:

Except some smart so-and-sos cottoned on to the fact that when Will Smith is suspended upside-down, his face kinda pushes up on itself and, well…

Sadly, we’re never going to get a physical side-by-side with middle-aged Will, as the beloved actor James Avery sadly passed away back in 2013. This also means that a ‘Fresh Prince‘ reunion is just about off the cards entirely, with the cast repeatedly stating doing one without Avery would not feel right.
But hey, if you ever were going to try and reboot the show, there’s really only one right choice to fill the role of the new Banks family patriarch.
It’s what Phil would’ve wanted.
