Westfield Launches Online Store With Australia’s Biggest Fashion Show

Online shopping rules for numerous reasons including but not limited to: you can drink wine while doing it, pants are optional, it can be carried out in a horizontal stationary position, you don’t have to waste time trying stuff on, money is intangible when it’s just numbers on a screen so you can pretend it’s not real… right? With this in mind, Westfield’s new online store means trouble. You can buy pretty much anything – not just the fashions. Whether it’s worm tablets for your dog, a novelty Friday the 13th Jason hockey mask or a set of steak knives, Westfield will hook you up. All with the click of a mouse. It’s a little too easy.

In what was a fitting way to celebrate the launch of Australia’s biggest online store, yesterday Westfield broke the record of Australia’s biggest fashion parade. With Jessica Gomes at the helm, a total of 100 models walked a 50 meter runway set up outside of Sydney’s Customs House. Cleo Bachelor Top 50 nominees PJ Lane, Dylan Resnekov and Henry Budd were among the male models. The AW11 collections of over 70 Westfield fashion retailers were showcased, including pieces by Josh Goot, Dion Lee, Camilla & Marc, Ellery, Ksubi and Manning Cartell.

If you haven’t already opened up a new tab and spent 1 million dollars at the Westfield online store, we might add that there’s free shipping until April 24. See video from the record breaking show below.
