WELP: Melbs’ Big-Ass Kanye Mural Has Already Copped Crying Kim Nip Covers

The first rule of being a ~heaps controversial street artist~ is always make sure you plaster nudity (particularly of famous people) in public places multiple-storeys high. Uncensored, too. That way when you go back to paint over it, you can stretch the hype out even further.

In what’s gotta be world-record time, the giant ‘Famous‘ mural that popped up in the inner-Melbourne suburb of Cremorne over this past weekend has already had the modesty blanket thrown over it, with censoring appearing over the giant, building-sized nipples of both Taylor Swift and Kanye West overnight.
The mural, which we speculated yesterday was the handiwork of lushsux (he hasn’t outright claimed it yet, but it’s all over his Instagram account which is as good enough for us), has sprung a quad of the ubiquitous Crying Kim faces over the the offending nipples.
There’s no obvious reason for the censorship (other than the obvious “they were 10-metre high bare boobs”), and lushsux has remained typically coy in posting about it this morning.

The mural, which is on a wall at the construction site of a residential block rebuild, remains up for the time being.
But goddamn, if that cease and desist from TAS Rights Management and Yeezy’s legal mob isn’t on its way out here at light speed, we will eat our own hats and the hats of several others.
This is how it starts, you guys. Mural of pop culture thing. Slight censorship of pop culture thing. Mural gets modified into a meme. Artist pushes their luck too far and turns it slightly racist. Everyone loses interest.
The circle of life.
