Swimwear isn’t serious business and We Are Handsome are well aware of this. They don’t make practical, sensible apparel for taking meetings; they use outrageous, vibrant prints splashed across slinky bikinis, 80s inspired front-zip onesies, and head-turning mini dresses that stop just short of the ‘painted-on’ variety.
The brand’s 2012 collection is no different.
Designers Indhrea Chagoury and Jeremy Sommers explain the inspiration for the resort-friendly new range titled “The Romantic”: “The Romantic sees life through a different set of eyes. Like a telescope where the colours are more vivid, the world seems more vibrant and where stories become fairy tales.”
The kaleidoscopic campaign images were shot at South Beach, Miami, which has to be the most brand-apropos location conceivable for We Are Handsome’s fifth collection.
