Remember Zimmermann’s steamy Resort 2012 campaign? The one with the languid babes and all of the glistening sweat that made every other campaign look as sexy as a pair of damp bloomers on Maria von Trapp, should she still be alive and wearing bloomers today? I feel bad for you, Resort 2012 Campaign, because you’ve just been out-sexied by your younger, more outdoorsy sister, Zimmermann’s Summer 2013 Swim Campaign.
Designer Nicky Zimmermann continues to experiment with her signature prints, cuts and textures on the smallest possible scale with a smorgasbord of prints – think florals mixed with mesh, paisley and leopard – on a variety of textiles you probably aren’t even here to analyse in too great a detail. Just know that the swimwear is there and that it’s great. The floral mesh romper and silk bomber are especially sun smart and chic.
