Watch Julian Assange’s “Bogan Makeover” In Election Parody Rap Video

Regardless of which party takes control of the government after the election on September 7th, it looks like the real winner will be videotaped silliness.

First, Clive Palmer appeared in a head-scratchingly strange self-penned skit on ABC sketch comedy show Wednesday Night Fever. Then a whole stack of pollies got a little bit rock and roll in Super Best Friends’ “Round And Round” video clip. And now, Wikileaks Party leader and guy who definitely can’t keep a secret Julian Assange has joined the fun, appearing in the hip-hop flavoured satirical news program Rap News.

At the behest of wife-beater clad/mullet-toting Rap News correspondent Ken Oathcant, Assange (appearing in person from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London) submits to a bogan makeover and awkwardly lip-syncs to a version of John Farnham‘s “You’re The Voice”, in order to widen his appeal to “all the sheilas and blokes back home”.

The episode, the final in the current series produced by The Juice Media, also features a Game Of Thrones-inspired triple showdown, hip hop style, between Julia Gillard, Tony Abbott and Kevin Rudd.
