The based gods over at Netflix have basically turned the joint into a content factory these days; pumping out original series at a rate that’s far quicker than just about everyone’s ability to keep up.
To wit, it’s a mere 8 days until the streaming giant drops its newest series ‘Easy,’ but we’re only just now getting the debut trailer for it. Which is a dang shame, because based purely on the cast and crew alone, this should be one to add to your watch list.
The eight-part anthology series comes from the creative brain of Joe Swanberg, who among many other things (dude is prolific AF) wrote and directed the low-key excellent 2013 flick ‘Drinking Buddies.’ Each of the 8 half-hour episodes focuses on different characters in various stages of dating and relationships in the Chicago area.
The cast, you guys. Holy cow. The show counts Orlando Bloom, Malin Åkerman, Marc Maron, Dave Franco, Hannibal Buress, Emily Ratajkowski, Jake Johnson, Aya Cash (from the TOTALLY FUCKING BRILLIANT series ‘You’re The Worst‘ which everyone should be watching), Michael Chernus and Kate Micucci among its many, many members.
The trailer doesn’t give away much, but it looks like a real solid way to while away a particularly lazy Sunday.
You’ll be able to wrap yr ears and eyes around it on September 22, when the whole thing drops at once.
