When Karl Lagerfeld made a short film for Chanel’s 2011 Cruise collection he nailed the aesthetics – an easy feat when supermodels are cast in every role – but also reaffirmed that harsh belief of many that top models really cannot act. His latest cinematic effort entitled “Shopping Fever”, a short film edited to resemble a movie trailer, yields similar results: Abbey Lee Kershaw and Dree Hemingway flounce about a hotel room in stunning Chanel garb, with Karl’s muse Baptiste Giabiconi also joining in the revelry as the bell boy. Is it just me or does Baptiste always seem to land the roles that would best translate to porn?
