Rihanna’s On The Cover Of British Vogue & She’s Bringing Thin Eyebrows Back

Leave it to Rihanna to take whatever is widely trending in the beauty industry and turn it on it’s head.

She’s gracing the cover of British Vogue‘s September issue, and she’s got the thinnest pencilled-on eyebrows in existence.

The brows are c/o makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, and she’s done Ri’s face using Fenty Beauty – so this MIGHT mean there’s brow product on the horizon from Rihanna’s iconic beauty brand.

Thin brows have a long history in relation to both fashion and culture – fashion-wise thin brows were a massive trend through the 1920s during the Flapper years, then again in the ’90s and the ’00s (which is why you always see folks over 30 lamenting their decision to tweeze the shit out of their brows, only for bushy ones to come back into fashion a decade later). Culturally, thin pencilled-on brows are very much a part of chola culture.

Ri models the brows throughout her shoot in the mag, too.

If this isn’t some play to introduce brow pencils to Fenty Beauty, I will be SHOCKED.
