US Vogue Brings The 90’s Supermodel Vibes With Their March Cover

With the rise of the Insta-Supermodel (*cough* Hadid sisters/Kendall Jenner *cough*) it’s not surprising to see huge, social-media-friendly mag covers and shoots in the high fashion glossies these days. Remember this absolutely gorge lil’ sisters shoot in Vogue last year?

The lol thing is that Bella Hadid is now arguably more industry famous than Gigi now. But we digress. Vogue is back at it again with the major covers/shoots, this time gathering together a way fine assortment of the biggest names in the modelling industry today for a pretty breathtaking front cover of their March issue. Present and accounted for are Ashley Graham, Gigi, Kendall, Liu Wen, Imaan Hammam, Adwoa Aboah, and Vittoria Ceretti

Does that cover give you throwback vibes? It’s prob because it feels inspired by this iconic shot by famed 90’s photog Peter Lindbergh, who is credited with starting the rise of the 90’s supermodel posse, and inspiring the late George Michael‘s unforgettable Freedom video clip.
The cover and pics inside were done by outrageously fab Dutch fashion photography pair Inez & Vinoodh, and they were clearly inspired by Lindbergh’s “get a bunch of beautiful people together” minimalist feels coz this is also one of the internal shots.
And here’s the Lindbergh we reckon it’s vibing:
There’s plenty more fab-ness inside the mag and showcased on the Vogue site rn, featuring other big fashion names like Natalie Westling, Adriana Lima and Paloma Elsesser.

“Each of these cover girls proudly inhabits her own particular gorgeousness in her own particular way,” Vogue says of the shoot. “Together they represent a seismic social shift: The new beauty norm is no norm.”

The March issue is out now in the States, and you can see more pics from the shoot on their site.
