A UK uni student is the proud recipient of a £500 prize for having the country’s chattest student accommodation.
Brittani Cooper, 19, a real estate student who lives with five other housemates in Bristol, entered the competition after a joke suggestion from her dad. Her photos of a filth-infested kitchen, hoarder-style living room, and garbage cans overflowing to the point where the extra bags were also overflowing won the student the dubious prize.
She beat 981 other entries to get there.
“My dad is now saying he wants to share the money 50/50 with me, but that won’t be happening,” she told The Mirror. “I’m going to use it towards decorating my new student house for my second year. I’m aiming to keep my new home a lot cleaner.”
The comp was held by the incredibly dull-sounding business web-blinds.com. Spokesperson Kirsty O’Sullivan said it was tricky picking just one winner, and that “in fact, it was tough even looking at some of the pictures.” Shocking.
These pictures might look bad, but honestly – with the amount of home decorating shows out there these days, it’s amazing what you can accomplish with a match and just a little bit of gasoline.
