‘Twin Peaks’ Dropped Ep Descriptions For The Revival & They’re Cryptic AF

Not that we ever expected anything from the hand of David Lynch to be presented in easy-to-digest step-by-step format, but this is a real noodle scratcher even by ordinary Lynch standards.

We are rapidly approaching the long-awaited arrival of the ‘Twin Peaks‘ revival series, thanks to US cable giant Showtime, and fans are rabidly tearing apart whatever tiny morsel of information they can get their hands on.
While May is still a handful of weeks away, the first two episodes have copped the customary episode descriptions from the network, but folks they are ah… cryptic.
Beyond the fact that the first pair of episodes are apparently to be called ‘The Return: Part 1,’ and ‘The Return: Part 2,’ (exciting enough as is TBH) we now have these pithy, one-sentence episode synopses. What they mean, however, is another bloody question entirely.
My log has a message for you” and “The stars turn and a time presents itself” ahh yep. Of course. How perfectly obvious!
The log’s message is, quite obviously, a reference to the confirmed appearance of the Log Lady in the new series, and her eponymous clairvoyant log.
We love the log.
As for the second one, who knows? The portal to the Black Lodge has opened again? The whole thing is being presented on an alternative timeline in a parallel dimension? Lynch has full flipped it and the whole series is secretly a ‘Gilmore Girls‘ spinoff set in Stars Hollow?
One thing’s for sure, we’re dead set into it, whatever this is.
The new season of ‘Twin Peaks‘ premieres locally on May 22nd via Stan, with a 2-hour season opener set to wrinkle brains nationwide.
That gum you like, folks. It is coming back in style.
