Trump Held A Shock Presser W/ Women Accusing Bill Clinton Of Sex Crimes

Just in case you were labouring under the misapprehension that this completely insane U.S. election could not get any more insane, here’s another curveball.

Donald Trump, still reeling and bleeding institutional support thanks to leaked audio which show the former reality star and sentient block of hateful cheese boasting about sexual assault, has done what he does best – counterpunch.
He’s appeared in a just press conference just prior to today’s big debate with three women who have accused former President Bill Clinton of sexual assault, and one woman whose rapist was defended by Hillary Clinton in court back in the Arkansas days.
Bill Clinton’s sexual proclivities are well-publicised, but accusations against him of rape and sexual assault – most prominently by Juanita Broddrick, who appears in this conference – have tended to stay out of the spotlight in everything but deranged rightwing media. How is it relevant to his wife’s run for President? Well, some allege she was involved in covering up these alleged crimes.
Broaddrick spoke at the conference:
I’m Juanita Broaddrick and I’m here to support Donald Trump. I tweeted recently and Mr Trump RT’d that I was raped by Bill Clinton. Actions speak louder than words, Mr Trump may have said some bad words, but Bill Clinton raped me and Hillary Clinton threatened me, I don’t think there is any comparison.
In a normal world, you would expect that Trump – who has been accused of sexual assault several times prior to the release of the tape over the weekend – might leave this one well alone. But the stakes have never been higher, now that prominent Republicans and commentators are abandoning him over this latest release, and rumours suggest the producers of The Apprentice have footage of the candidate dropping the N-word.
The other women who spoke are Paula Jones, a former Arkansas state employee who accused Bill Clinton of sexual harassment back when he was governor and received $850,000 in a settlement; Kathleen Willey, who accused Clinton of groping her; and Kathy Shelton, the aforementioned rape victim whose attacker was defended by Hillary Clinton.
Trump hasn’t always been so glowingly supportive of these women. Back in 1998, he was somewhat more dismissive:
I don’t necessarily agree with his victims. His victims are terrible. He is, he is really a victim himself. But he put himself in that position. These people are just, I don’t know, where he met them – where he found them. But the whole group — it’s truly an unattractive cast of characters. Linda Tripp, Lucianne Goldberg, I mean, this woman, I watch her on television. She is so bad. The whole group, Paula Jones, Lewinsky, it’s just a really unattractive group. I’m not just talking about physical.

Seems like Trump will spend today’s debate harping on Bill Clinton’s alleged abuse as a counterpoint to Hillary’s debate strategy, which will obviously lean heavily on the revelations of this weekend. Clinton, for her part, has issued a statement on the conference:

My God. This is going to be a shitshow.
