Topshop & Topman Sydney Launch Red Carpet

It was bedlam in the Sydney CBD last night, as every available Australian-grade celebrity and freeloading scenester hit the launch of the four-level TOPSHOP & TOPMAN mega centre on George Street. Those who didn’t score a spot on the guestlist were content to wait on the footpath, spending the night fighting piles and cold concrete to be the first through the doors when they finally opened to the public at 9am this morning. Commitment:

INXS spawn and embodiment of adorable, April Rose Pengilly was there getting in touch with her inner Mod with a monochrome outfit and a smile so cute she easily gets away with wearing leggings as pants.

Brian McFadden attended with wife Vogue Williams, looking like Garfield wrapped in hipster fabrics. Vogue Williams is really pretty. She must like Irish accents.

Here is lovely Channel V presenter Carissa Walford head to toe in Topshop, including an on-trend peplum zip up jacket and a gold thread capri pant. This whole look would be greatly improved with a coloured lip.

Sneaky Sound System still exists, FYI. Singer Miss Connie Williams does her signature jungle-glam look with a zebra print mini dress and hot pink purse by Topshop. Shame about the shoes, which look a little ‘back of the closet’, if you know what I mean. Angus MacDonald gives good Morrissey coiffure.

Former Sneaky Sound System member and man of many other mysterious trades Daimon Downey seems anything but ‘Downe’ in this photo. LOL.

Talented electro-pop producer Elizabeth Rose is extremely cute in her lace ankle socks with pumps that don’t necessarily match with her floral jumpsuit.

Actress Emma Booth is one of those flawless freckled women that people who aren’t olive but aren’t quite ‘porcelain’ wish they could be (*raises hand*). She goes for a boyishly chic blouse and shorts combo in conflicting prints – both by Topshop – with perfect makeup and cute ankle boots.

Hi Emma Lung.

Erin McNaught what the fuck have you done to your hair?? This fake-looking chocolate mess is distracting me from her outfit and anything else within my peripheral vision. Undo this immediately, please.

Jesinta Campbell in gold peplum and leather with those beige platform pumps that have the magic ability to make any outfit look cheap.

It’s an understated uniform of all-over black velvet for visiting Topshop boss Kate Phelan.

Wow it’s great to see Kate Waterhouse dressed down for a change. Her usual red carpet style is quite high fashion and super pulled-together, but I love how she looks so young and pretty in this simple striped Topshop dress and natural hair. Cute.

Stylist/designer/mum Pip Edwards looks extremely stylist-y in a random combination of luxe quilted paisley skirt by Topshop, designer t-shirt and collar.

Ruby Rose is stoked to be there in an “Express Yourself”-era Madonna sequined breastplate covered in a cheap looking stretchy thing and leather suspenders all by Topshop.

OMG THE TINY TINY VERONICAS. EMILY THE STRANGE AND BLACK HAIR DYE AND STUFF!!! God I love them. Both head to toe in Topshop.

Bless the totally unimpressed facial expression of Sophie Lowe, who wears cute velvet overalls and horn rimmed specs. She’s with fellow actress Jess Tovey.
