Like me, you probably binged the entirety of Netflix’s limited-series doco Tiger King last week. The show, which centres around big cat collector Joe Exotic and his rival Carole Baskin, is a wild ride. But the unsung hero is absolutely Joe’s insane wardrobe.
While the themes in the series are not exactly fun times Arizona (questionable animal practices, anyone? Possible grooming of teenagers? It’s all bad) the fashion absolutely is. Joe Exotic’s wardrobe is eclectic to say the least – he’s got his working gear, all flannos and khaki.
But then he’s got his showtime threads.
Joe also loves the cowboy aesthetic, one particular shot that had me drooling was seeing his line-up of impeccable fringed suede jackets.
I’d describe Joe Exotic’s style as “Vegas Cowboy”, and it’s exactly the kind of aesthetic I’d like to recreate for myself post-isolation. Hell, DURING isolation depending on how batshit I go in lockdown.
