The Limited Edition Caramel Choc-Dip Paddle Pop From The 90s Is Back, Baby

I think we can all agree that lollies were simply better back in the 90s.

Before dumb science jerks cottoned on to the fact that kids constantly eating fuck tonnes of sugar is bad, Aussie children of the 90s truly lived in a golden age of confectionary where 5 cents would get you an obscene amount of red frogs, and Wizz Fizz was inhaled by the bag(gie).
Well aware of the ongoing power of 90s nostalgia, Streets Ice Creams are bringing a slice of this glorious bygone era back with the announcement today of the return of the limited edition Caramel Choc-Dip Paddle Pop.
Whilst this is obviously a VERY BIG DEAL in and of itself, I’d like to draw your attention to the fact that the Paddle Pop Lion that we all know and love (pictured above) is actually a throwback to the original version, because as I discovered to my horror this morning, old mate got a makeover a few years back and now looks like this:
Why does the new Paddle Pop Lion look like he’s about to put that banana ice cream in a museum “where it belongs”? Why does he look like one of those hot Instagram gays who take shirtless pics of themselves that just say “Happy Tuesday, follow your dreams”. Most importantly, why am I sexually attracted to the new Paddle Pop Lion?
Anyway, the Caramel Choc-Dip Paddle Pops are back and available now for a limited time in Coles and Woolies and most convenience stores and I need to go book an appointment with my psych to talk some things through.
Grab yourself a pack and smuggle it into the new ‘Power Rangers’ movie and it will practically be 1995 again.
