The 9 “Disrespectful” Speedo Blokes Could Face 6 Mths In Malaysian Jail

The nine men who stripped down to budgie smugglers bearing the Malaysian flag at the Sepang Formula 1 Grand Prix could reportedly face up to six months in jail.
Footage shows the men stripping down to the swimwear and doing shoeys as Australian Daniel Ricciardo won, chanting ‘Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi’. New reports state that the men purchased the budge smugglers in Australia, before heading overseas.
One of the men is Jack Walker, the defence innovation adviser to Defence Minister Christopher Pyne.
Sepang International Circuit chief executive officer Datuk Razlan Razali has told media that Aussies should be “locked up, investigated and taken action against”:

“It embarrasses their own country as well, it gives Australians a bad name.

I am glad that citizens reported on it and that we do not allow such unruly behaviour in our country, especially at the circuit with Formula One being televised worldwide.”
Police chief Abdul Aziz Ali said the men would be held for four days while they were investigated for public indecency, and possibly disrespecting the Malaysian flag.
The men are being investigated for ‘intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace’ and ‘public indecency‘. These potential charges could carry a penalty of six months in jail, a fine, or both.
Julie Bishop went on ‘TODAY‘ this morning, and reminded us once again that abiding the laws of another country while you’re on holiday is IMPORTANT, and that the Australian government can’t just ‘bail you out’.

Those bloody larrikins! What a riot.
We’ll keep updated on this story as more information arises.
