The Sydney Opera House Staff Uniform Just Got A Seriously Snazzy Makeover

In what is perhaps the most patriotic fashion news of the year, the good folk at Sydney Opera House just got the Aussie designer treatment.

After 14 years of staff wearing the same bog standard uniform, local designer Dion Lee stepped in to give the crew a fancy-schmancy makeover. And it’s every bit as fre$h as you’d hope.

^ Omg swag hats. Put a fork in me ‘cos I’m done.

Sure, this part of the uniform is kinda casual, but these guys also look like they’re good to go straight from work to a sick muso festival and I’m very okay with it. After all, what’s more Aussie than being comfy *and* cool? Answer: Nothing.

Inspired by the Opera House itself, the more formal uniform op features precise pleats, clean lines and a utilitarian colour palette. In short, it’s chic as heck.

That fold on the lapel is a deadset homage to the O House’s famous silhouette and I froth it all. Don’t even get me started on those lit boots.

Dion Lee’s relationship with the Aussie icon is an ongoing love affair, with designer opening 2017 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on the Opera House’s forecourt.

Side note: check out this legend. HELLO. They look like some rich kid whose about to take me on a sailing tour of the harbour on their Uncle’s yacht and that’s such a fkn mood.

This is the second time Dion Lee’s made headlines this week, with Meghan Markle stepping out yesterday wearing a custom navy creation by the local legend.

Doing us proud fam.

But seriously, where can we get those boots?
