A Sydney Uber driver’s dash cam has captured an extremely polite case of mistaken identity, after he picked up a rider who… wasn’t his rider.
Daniel Moore was called to pick up a woman called Chelsea in Darlinghurst, and that’s who he thought got into his car. In fact, the woman was a sex worker, and didn’t know she was getting into an Uber.
What followed was a very gentle but very confused conversation, during which the woman courteously offered her services and Moore bewilderedly declined.
The whole thing, including the moment when the real Chelsea calls Moore and he almost knocks the camera off the dash with realisation, can be heard right here:
Bless ’em both.
