Students At High School Paper Out Their Own Principal As A Total Fraud

The new principal of a high school in Kansas, USA has quit after an investigation by the student newspaper uncovered her as a fraud. And you thought your extra-curricular activities would land you a uni place.

Amy Robertson was hired in early March as the new principal of Pittsburg High School, and as is tradition, student paper the Booster Redux set up a profile.

However, the high school students interviewing Robertson found a few glaring omissions in her CV, after she was unable to answer direct questions about where she obtained her degree

“Robertson said in the conference call interview she earned a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature and a Ph.D. in English from Corllins University,” said the piece, which was accompanied by the byline ‘The Booster Redux Staff’.

“Corllins, however, has been under fire in the national media for its lack of legitimacy. Furthermore, the Better Business Bureau‘s website said, ‘This business is not BBB accredited’. The posting online in 2010 also stated, ‘The true physical address of Corllins University is unknown.”

The report basically found that three of Robertson’s degrees were invalid, and as such, she didn’t have the proper licensing to become a school administrator.

She quit her $123,290 per year (US $93,000) job three days later.

In a statement, the Pittsburg Board of Education said that “in light of the issues that arose, Dr. Robertson felt it was in the best interest of the district to resign her position. The Board has agreed to accept her resignation.”

They’re now on the hunt for a new head, one with an actual degree.

Meanwhile, the students who uncovered the scandal are being heaped with praise by journalists across the States, and have now got one hell of a college application letter.
