Stormie Mills Releases Limited Edition Scarves

Street art is ephemeral by nature, but it needn’t always be so fleeting. Australian graffiti artist Stormie Mills, who since 1984 has been exploring urban identity, loneliness and personal isolation with his iconic greyscales, has designed a limited edition scarf inspired by Oscar Wilde‘s famous quote, “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.”

In 2009, Mills and five other artists collectively known as the Agents of Change turned an abandoned Scottish village into a gigantic work of art ahead of its demolition. Check out a video on the Ghost Village Project below.

Mills’ latest exhibition, Scuffling, runs at Melbourne’s Metro Gallery until August 20th.

The scarfs, of which only 150 were made, are available from the Art Gallery of Western Australia for $450.
