Steve Jobs Dies And Black Skivvies Sales Soar

People have paid their respects to Steve Jobs in different ways. Yesterday the internet clocked a record 10,000 tweets per second as people tweeted their memories and condolences. Some mourners kept vigil outside the Fifth Avenue Apple Store in New York City, leaving flowers, gifts and notes. Other people have shown their appreciation for the life and achievements of Steve Jobs in different ways. The say imitation is the highest form of flattery or a sign you’re being stalked, and apparently sales of Steve’s signature black turtleneck sweater have skyrocketed following his sad death.

Jobs’ preferred skivvie-makers, St. Croix, told TMZ that as soon as news broke that Jobs had passed, their mock turtlenecks flew off the shelves – adding, St. Croix has experienced an “almost 100% increase in sales” since yesterday.

A rep for the menswear brand has also made the comment “We have a great respect for everything he did and we’re glad he believed in our American-made product.” But everyone knows there’s nothing less respectful that turning someone’s death into a sweet marketing opportunity.
