When Stella McCartney’s well-tailored ladylike debut capsule collection for Target Australia launched in stores in 2007 it sold out in a matter of minutes amidst a stampede of hysteric female shoppers through every store in the country. Round 2 of the Stella McCartney-Target partnership is on its way – hitting stores on October 29 and featuring McCartney’s trademark approach to womenswear design: sexy meets sporty, with a number of excellent blazers – including a great inverted collar tuxedo, plenty of pretty lace separates, summery career-woman day wear and some very affordable cocktail dresses.
The 42-piece collection will be sold online and at select Target stores and ranges in price from $20 to $299. The price is right – battling an angry horde of frothing, frenzied females is a whole other story though.
