In a remarkable coup for Australian retail and design, Sportsgirl’s flagship store at Chadstone, Melbourne, is the first Australian store ever to be shortlisted as a finalist for Store Design of the Year at the World Retail Awards.
This is a really impressive achievement considering the competition includes some internationally recognised high-profile retailers, including: the Topshop store in New York, Anthropologie in London, the Barbie concept store in Shanghai, Liberty in London, and Shanghai Tang in Hong Kong.
Entries were open to all retail sectors and store sizes, providing they opened in the last 12 months. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in Berlin on 22 April.
