Following collaborations with Elke Kramer and Romance Was Born, Sportsgirl have unveiled the first looks from their next designer capsule collection. This time around the on-trend Australian retailer have enlisted Ingrid Verner and Monika Tywanek from cult Melbourne label TV. You know what this means ladies, Sportsgirl stampedes ahoy.
The inspiration for the collection is described in the following: “Seduced by notions of bird-like freedom, TV took flight with gemstones, hand developed fabrics, a three dimensional knit pattern and perforated leather to create TV for Sportsgirl. The collection draws upon all things ethereal, intrinsically linking nature to the female form, conjuring a peaceful aural language through print and fabric texture.”
Imbued with TV’s character driven smirk, the free spirited 10-piece range features Coogi Knit Boy Pullovers, Perforated Leather Jackets, Printed Bird dresses and Bow Pencil Skirts. In short, pieces that will be a highly coveted among the budget conscious and fashion forward masses.
The range is available at selected stores from May. Prices range from $90.00 – $400.00.
