Professional hottie Gisele Bündchen will legitimately be robbed in a staged scene during the Olympics opening ceremony, in a reflection of life in Rio that’s a little too real given recent events.
How do we know this? Because 3,000 specially invited guests attended a full dress rehearsal of the three-hour show and, although asked to “save the surprise” by refraining from taking photos or leaking details, you cannot keep this sort of stuff to yourself: it’s like holding in a fart.
According to inside sources, Gisele – the world’s highest paid supermodel and one of Brazil‘s biggest exports – struts down a catwalk to local banger ‘The Girl From Ipanema’ before being held up by an actor and robbed.
A mock police chase then goes down around the perimeter of Rio’s Maracanã Stadium, with ‘cops’ racing to catch the offender and prove that good always triumphs over evil as an estimated 900 million viewers tune in and think to themselves ‘wtf’.
If that weren’t enough, the ceremony apparently also features a song riffing on Brazil’s high number of road accident victims.
You actually can’t make this stuff up.
