Southeast QLD & NSW Are About To Get Wet As Hell Thanks To Cyclone Debbie

You’re absolutely not going to see the kind of devastation wrought by Cyclone Debbie on northern Queensland, but folks from Brisbane and down the east coast of New South Wales to Sydney are probably going to get drenched, with a severe thunderstorm warning issued for southeast Queensland.

The Bureau of Meteorology says that heavy rain is a-coming, thanks to Debbie sending a humid tropical air mass south, colliding with a cold front.
Disaster teams are on alert in southeast Queensland, and its likely there will be flooding. Brisbane City Council is offering sandbags for pickup at five depots around the city.
It’s going to be windy as hell on the north coast of NSW, with an average windspeed of 65km/h, and some gusts in excess of 90km/h.
Bureau of Meterology NSW weather services manager Jane Golding told The Daily Telegraph that NSW should prepare to get wet, and that this humid weather system is likely to collide with a cold front over Sydney.
It’s already the wettest March since 1984. Can we please have a moment of reprieve?
